TicketsEvent Description
Join the Caribbean diaspora of London to celebrate a traditional Christmas as we do it in Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana and the Reunion Island, in a spirit of solidarity with the movement against the rising cost of living in our islands.
Enjoy traditional Caribbean Christmas songs and music, storytelling, domino/card games while sharing warm moments and food with family and friends. Kids are welcome!
In that spirit of solidarity, we ask participants to bring a traditional dish to share... large or small, it does not matter, the idea is to show that we can celebrate Christmas without fully relying on large retailers!
Drinks will be available to buy from the venue.
Notes on Dishes:Traditional dishes ideas:
- Patés salés, Accras, Tartes, Chiquetaille de morue,
- Gratin ou légumes (banane jaune, igname, christophine)
- Jambon de noel, Boudin
- Pois d'Angole
- Râgout de porc (ou poisson)
- Bûche coco, Pâtés sucrés, Gateau coco/ananas
...if you do not know any of the dishes above, bring a traditional dish from your country or your favorite one! :-)
Label your dish so we know if it contains, meat, dairy, nuts or any other allergen
