AiDance presents 

The Power of Spiritual Healing in Folkloric Dance

Performance & Dance Workshops

 

Join us for an electrifying dance performance at, Canada Water Theatre! 

Get ready to be amazed by the incredible moves and rhythms of talented dancers and musicians.


Followed by weekend of dance workshops…


Aida Diop - Dancer, teacher, and choreographer of traditional West African dance rhythms, as part of this project she will be, dancing and visually documenting her spırıtual journey in her home village Ouakam Senegal.


Aida will document traditions of dance in her homeland, and share the meaning and rituals and sıgnıfıcance the of their art.


Locations will play an ımportant part by sea and woodland areas with specific movements of healing shared with her students.


Back in the UK, AiDance will present a theatrical dance performance along with AiDance students, guests' artists, and musicians. The performance incorporates traditional West African dance forms together with traditional storytelling with Flute & Kora player Baba Galle & Ansu Suso and Singer Binta Suso.


Binta will be singing and narrating movements interpreted by AiDANCE students.


The exciting traditional flute will be played by Baba Galle accompanied by some of the best drummers Sidiki Dembele, Mohamed Gueye, Aboubacar Konate, Souleymane Compo, Seydou Kienou, Momo Sangare, Mamour Seck, Lamin Saneh, Medoune Ndiaye, Kaw Secka and many more...


This in-person event promises to be a night of non-stop excitement and entertainment. From traditional to modern, this dance performance has it all.
